God’s Embrace

Gods Embrace | Everyday Encouragements
There are few things
Of which I’m sure,
Few things of which I’m certain;
But one thing I know
Without a doubt
Is that God’s arms are always open.

Whenever I fear,
Whenever I weep,
It is to His arms I run:
He gathers me close
In His embrace;
I thank Him for all that He’s done.

Whether in joy
Or pain or tears,
I turn to His ready embrace.
“Give Me your troubles,”
He says to me–
Oh, the Love I see in His face!

I wrote this poem over a year ago, on a day when I was feeling extremely lonely and in need of comfort. I thank the Lord many times for giving me the words for this poem.

Since I wrote it, I have often gone back to read it, as a reminder to myself that God is indeed there and wants to hear me when I’m happy or sad, in good times or bad. God is indeed there to guide and to help and to share, no matter what. Run to His arms when you are burdened or overjoyed……He wants to share those times with you!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved me, and gave Himself for me. ~Galatians 2:20~
